This course develops the knowledge and performance areas needed to understand the organization and administration of varied types of higher education institutions. Internal and external governance structures will be examined. Regional accreditation standards and the role of discipline specific accreditation will be addressed. Critical elements of the institutional strategic planning process and emergency operation planning will be discussed.
